When was the neighborhood built?

The land that Riverfront Park is built on was purchased by the developer, East West Partners, on Christmas Eve 1999. Development started in 2000 on The Riverfront Plaza and was completed with The Park in 2008.

What makes the neighborhood unique?

Riverfront Park is a true community in the middle of the city. It sits right alongside Commons Park, one of the biggest green spaces in Downtown Denver, with both the Platte River and Cherry Creek trails connecting right there in the park. It has two bridges that directly connect it to Lower Downtown and the Union Station neighborhood: one on 18th Street and the iconic Millennium Bridge connecting the Riverfront Park plaza to the 16th Street Mall. There’s a dog park on the north end, events throughout the summertime, and, perhaps most unique to downtown, free parking two-hour parking along Little Raven Street. It’s a neighborhood that has worked hard to create a sense of home in Downtown Denver and, as a result, has a very different feel than the rest of the city.

Who manages the neighborhood?

Riverfront Park is managed by East West Urban Management. Their offices are right on the plaza in Riverfront Park, providing helpful on-site services for all buildings in the neighborhood. Each building has its own Homeowners’ Association (HOA) and you can find more information on their individual websites (listed below). There is also a master association that oversees the entire neighborhood.

What does the Master Association fee cover?

The Master Association fees cover neighborhood activities including neighborhood security; beautification of landscape, plaza, and sidewalks; holiday decorations; and neighborhood events, amongst others.

When is the security team in the neighborhood?

The Denver Police Department is on-site every evening from 6:00pm-5:45am patrolling the neighborhood. Additional security is added during the days in the summer months when there is an increase in traffic in the neighborhood.

Why is there a 0.5% transfer assessment on sales in the neighborhood?

The one-half of one percent (0.5%) transfer assessment on real estate sales within Riverfront Park goes to fund the Riverfront Park Community Foundation. This includes residential sales, sales of apartment buildings and sales of retail condominiums.

The Riverfront Park Community Foundation was established in 2000 to foster excellence, diversity and opportunity in the downtown Denver community. The Foundation has forged a strong voice in the arts and education communities in Denver and continues to have a strong impact on the Riverfront neighborhood and the city. The Foundation is committed to making both Riverfront Park and downtown Denver a better place to live.
